Sunday chess lessons in Istanbul 9

Sunday is the second teaching day of Istanbul chess. Nearly every Satranç İstanbul branch keeps Sunday slots for its weekly group lessons alongside Saturday ones, so a family can choose the day that suits it at the same branch; the Levent branch is the exception and lists Saturday only. Galatasaray’s academy holds its Sunday lessons not at Kalamış but in the hall of the Galatasaraylılar Derneği in Levent, face to face only.

Tamer Karatekin’s academy says on its pages that it runs the Sunday-morning courses of the Turkish Chess Federation’s Istanbul office, without giving a time or a place, and without a date on the page, so that card remains unconfirmed. Sunday lessons follow the school calendar and pause in the summer months. The hours on the cards are the ones the academies published for the current season; a quick message before the first visit is still the safest way to find a free seat in a group.
