Report a change or add a place

Use this form for two things: a card with something wrong or outdated on it, and an academy, club, venue or recurring tournament in Istanbul that is not listed yet. Anyone may write, whether director, organiser, teacher, parent or player.

A link does most of the work: the academy’s branch page, the tournament on the chess-results server, a dated announcement. Messages are compared with that page at the next revision, and each resulting change is dated in the edit history.

What is your message about?
For a new entry: what happens there and when. For a mistake: which line of the card is wrong.
The address of a web page, tournament listing or post where it can be read.
Only so the message has a sender; it never appears on the site.
A phone number or messaging handle, if you prefer not to give an email.

Give at least one way to reach you. It stays private and is used only if you ask for a reply.

What happens next

  • Your message waits with the others until the next revision of the Istanbul directory.
  • It is then compared with the academy’s, club’s or organiser’s own pages; where they confirm it, the card is changed and the edit history records the date.
  • If no page can be found to support it, the card stays as it is and keeps its “not confirmed” wording.
  • No reply is sent unless the message asks for one and gives a contact.
