Rated games at Istanbul venues 8

A rated game in Istanbul counts either for UKD, the Turkish federation’s national rating, or for the FIDE Elo, and the announcement says which. Nova Time Spor Kulübü plays its numbered series at Ritim İstanbul in Maltepe and rates it by UKD or Elo; Chess Point and İstiklal held a joint Elo tournament at Torium in Esenyurt. V Metroway in Başakşehir organises rated weekends for children, and Watergarden UKD-rated tournaments with children’s categories and an open one.

Sarıyer municipality and the Zekeriyaköy club run a traditional Republic Cup with a UKD rating and a published prize fund, and Meet-Up Sports Club appears on the FIDE list of rated tournaments for Türkiye. Entry to a rated event normally needs a federation licence and registration before the closing date, both handled through the organiser. The cards give the date of the newest edition found; the next one is announced on the organiser’s own page.
