Chess events for children at Istanbul venues 4

Children’s tournaments are a weekend fixture in Istanbul shopping centres. V Metroway in Başakşehir organises rated weekend events with separate age-group sections for primary and middle-school players, and Piazza in Maltepe has run a numbered tournament of its own with sections for the youngest age bands. Each of these tournaments has its own page that lists the age categories, so a parent can see in advance which section a child belongs in.

Two clubs add their own. Lion Satranç Spor Kulübü has announced a rapid for the youngest players together with a kindergarten chess festival at a café-bistro in Ümraniye, and Usta Hamleler Eğitim Spor Kulübü held a tournament in several age sections at the Maltepe Cemevi. Registration closes before the day and goes through the organiser named on each card.
